4 Habits That Can Harm The Eyes

The eyes are very important part of our body. It is literally involved in all physical activities that we engage in. Although it's job seems simple and straightforward, when the eyes are damaged or blinded, all other organs in the body are seriously affected. This is why utmost care must be taken when dealing with the eyes. Habits that damages or harm the eyes must be avoided at all cost.

1. Spending too much time on your phones or laptops especially in the dark. This particular habit is bad for your eyes. Most people literally use their phone all through the day without taking any tangible break. Using your phone in this manner can damage your eyes and impair your eyesight in the long run. Using your phones, laptops and other gadgets in this manner can cause of put too much strain on the eyes which can affect it in an adverse manner.

2. Not using sunglasses under scorching sun. Ultraviolet rays from the sun can damage the eyes. This is why it is imperative that you try as much as possible to use sunglasses whenever you're outside especially when the sun is intense. Constantly walking or working under the sun without protection (sunglasses) can lead to drying out of the eyes, and irritation of the eyes which can harm the eyes in the long run.

3. Rubbing your eyes. This is usually done by most people unconsciously. It is wrong and can lead to infection of the eyes especially when you fail to wash your hands regularly. It takes discipline to quit this habit but it is very important that you do so.

4. Sleeping with your make-up or cosmetic on. This habit is usually peculiar to the ladies. It is wrong to sleep with your cosmetics on because if the tendency of it causing an infection of your eyes as well.
