Buhari has vow to examine the Economy of Niger Delta State.

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has vowed to address the impediments to the development of the Niger Delta in the south and south of the country, despite the huge amount of national resources donated to the region every year.

The president made the announcement on his Twitter account on Thursday evening, adding that this government is committed to bringing rapid and sustainable development to the region.

The president's remarks come a day after security forces raided the home of Joy Nunieh - the former head of the Niger Delta Development Corporation (NDDC), trying to break into her home to arrest her, over allegations.

Although President Buhari did not mention Nunieh's case, he said in his message that he had made it clear to the National Assembly and the investigative and security agencies that they should work together to ensure transparency and accountability. -serving in the national economy.

The President directed all agencies and financial institutions currently working with the National Assembly to monitor the expenditure and reform of the NDDC as a matter of urgency.

And let them know that I am getting information on all the decisions that are being made.

Our efforts to ensure transparency are not limited to the NDDC, but also to other federal agencies. We will not give up, "said President Buhari
