A photo revealing the current situation among farmers in the North has proven to be very disturbing. This photo was shared by one of the EndSars Activist, Sega Link, who describe the situation as an act of shooting one's self in the leg.
Recall that some days ago, there was news that the Amalgamated Union of Foodstuffs and Cattle Dealers of Nigeria, North Forum had halted the activities of food transportation from the North to the South. And since then, the South has experienced a sudden hike in essential perishable goods like Tomatoes and Onions, but the North is also losing out.
While reacting to the picture, Sega Link said,
“Nobody understands the lessons behind waging a war against oneself and losing like those who deployed a food supply ban against the south. The world has changed. Those who believe only in tyrannical monopolistic ventures will have a decentralized world to contend with. #eChoke”
We also spotted a picture where cows were feeding on wasted tomatoes.
While reacting to this, Nigerians expressed their concern regarding the situation. See some of the reaction below;
After one week of food blockage to the South, Northern Farmers have reportedly lost N10 billion, though rumour has it that they have agreed to lift the Ban. But, do you think it serves them right? Please share.
