It's been a difficult time for all bank users who are also customers of MTN. According to reports, Nigerian banks disconnected all MTN users from making use of USSD. It's clear that the use of mobile codes for bank transactions has made things easy for bank users in recent years.
A couple of days ago, MTN released an official statement that seems like a surprise to their customers. According to them, Telsco has taken the decision to terminate the contract of MTN from using USSD services. That development didn't go down well with MTN users across the country.
It's clear that without the availability of USSD, bank users would have to go to their various banks to make even minor transactions. Are people really prepared to go through all of that stress? Absolutely not! The decision to block MTN users from accessing USSD would make some people change their lines from MTN to other networks.
However, MTN users don't have to take that measure anymore. According to the latest statement from Banks, MTN Users have officially been unblocked by Telsco and they can now make transactions using mobile codes.
