Residents and traders are currently running for their lives as the popular Monday Market in Maiduguri, Borno State is being burnt down by fire. According to the report which was made available by Channels Television, scores of traders at Market, Borno State were left distraught as properties worth millions of naira were consumed by a raging inferno early Sunday morning.
A video circulating online shows the moment the fire kept on burning the market, while traders and fire service in the state are still battling with the way to quench the fire and save their goods. According to an eyewitness, it was reported that the fire started around 2am and for over four hours, there was no intervention from anyone or the fire service.
However, it was reported that no life was lost in the unfortunate incident, but millions of goods could not be recovered.
