The federal government of Nigeria announced few months ago that SIM cards that are not linked with the NIN(National identification number) will be disconnected.
After several registrations has been done, FG announced the lift of the suspension on Monday.
The importance of linking NIN is to create database by the federal government of Nigeria.
However subscribers can now purchase and register SIM cards, a news many Nigerians has been waiting for.
Retrieval of lost SIM cards as a result of carelessness or theft will be done has the ban has been lifted.
Progress has been made by the federal government of Nigeria though the NIN.
However NIN will be part of prerequisites for purchasing new SIM card throughout the state according to the report given by the ministry of communications and digital economy.
