According to a report, the federal government allocated the sum of N650 million naira only for the multi-billion naira project in the 2022 national budget.

As events concerning the Mambilla power project continue to unfold, we shall be looking at two major things Nigerians stand to benefit from should the project be completed.

1. Increased Power Supply

You will all agree with me that power supply in most African countries has been a thing of concern over the years. The Mambilla power project will give Nigerians an improved power supply if completed.

The project which is aimed at generating about 3,050MW of electricity if completed will be the biggest hydropower generating plant in Africa. This means more power supply to all Nigerians.

2. Employment Opportunities

It has been estimated that the Mambilla power project if completed will provide over fifty thousand (50,000) jobs.

This will go a long way in reducing the number of Nigerian youths roaming the street jobless and constituting nuisance to the society.

The benefits that will come with the completion of the Mambilla power project is enough to motivate our leaders to put in more efforts towards ensuring that the project is completed.
