The first batch of the programme tagged "Project 1 Youth 1 Farm" which is organized by the office of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth Affairs would commence on Monday October 4, 2021 and run through Saturday October 9, 2021.
It would see over five hundred (500) youths trained in various areas of agriculture, including crop protection, livestock farming, among others.
A release by the Governor's Special Adviser on Youth Affairs, Mr. Eric Uwakwe, said the initiative was in keeping with the Gov. Hope Uzodimma administration's determination to create a skill-based economy with special focus on youths.
It would be recalled that the state government recently empowered over five thousand (500) youths with financial grants. As with the soon to be launched agricultural programme, it was handled by the office of the Special Adviser on Youth Affairs.
