Earlier today Nigerians receive with big surprise the news coming from the Central Bank of Nigeria that the transaction of Crypto currency through Nigerian banks has been banned. According to the notice released, the Apex bank in their notice followed the ban with an instruction that any financial institution found to have gone against this order would be dealt with according to the law.
According to survey, Nigeria has been reported to be one of the biggest market for crypto currency in the world and thus contributing to the economy through the inflow of money.
Ever since the notice got to the attention of Nigerian, they have been using various social media platform to protest this new order sighting that the government could not provide jobs but were quick to ban a legitimate way of making money by the youths.
While reacting to this move by the CBN, Reno Omokri has taken to his twitter account to express his anger on the new decision of the government and ask question over the state of the nation.
Reno Omokri earlier on in his tweet argued that the government is trying to create another EndSARS because of what the government had just done. He said that the youths participate in the first EndSars protest because there was poverty in the land and that a new wave might come in anytime soon.
In another tweet, he said " Buhari closed Nigeria’s border and ruined thousands of businesses
"Buhari closed Kano film village, costing us millions
Now, Buhari has shutdown #Crypto #BitCoin, making thousands jobless
Does @MBuhari want our economy to be like his cows that dont increase in number"?
Looking at Reno's tweet, he has been able to identify some major source of employment which the government had shut down thereby rendering youths jobless. He made mention of the border closure, the film village in kano and now the crypto market that has been shut down will be another problem for nigeria and make thousands of youths jobless again.
