The National Identity Management Commission, NIMC, has in a statement on Tuesday said that, the commission will be needing a rough estimate of twenty-five (25) billion Naira only, to buy storage servers for their works.

The director general of the commission, Hon Aliyu Abubakir who is set to present this to the senate, made this known in a meeting with the senate public account committee. The committee is currently investigating the commission over its non-compliance with the Public Procurement Act (PPA) contract, awarded to them to the tone of 229 million Naira.
He also spoke on the compliance of Nigerians to the commission's directives, "as of today, over 57 million Nigerians have been registered by the commission." Going by Nigeria's population, a whopping 100 million citizens are still unregistered, and to be able to do that, he said he needs 90 more servers to fully register the remaining people.
He told the committee that he intends to ask for the sum of 25 billion Naira from the FEC in today's sitting.
