Meet The CEO of Fidelity Bank Who's The First Igbo Woman to Attain The Position

On the first day of the year, Fidelity Bank of Nigeria announced Mrs. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe as the Chief Executive Officer of the bank. She became the first female to hold the position in Fidelity bank since the bank was established in 1988.

Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe is an experienced banker who has years of experience in the banking sector.

Nneka has a wealth of experience when it comes to the banking industry. Being in the industry for about three decades, she has been able to work with top tier banks in the company. Someone these banks include Zenith bank, Standard Chartered Bank and Fidelity bank only to mention a few. During her numerous years, she has worked in virtually all sectors of the bank which accounts for her deep understanding when it comes to running the institution.

Nneka is a member of the Chartered institute of Bankers in Nigeria. It will amaze you that someone that is excelling in the banking industry doesn't have a degree in banking. Rather, she possesses her first degree in Law which she obtained from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Her quest for education propelled her to obtain a master's degree in Law from King's College in London.
