High Price Of Poultry Feeds Make Many Farmers Struggle In Their Production

Poultry Farming in Nigeria give chance for investors and entrepreneurs to make money within a shortest period of time because chickens mature very quickly. Recently, Poultry Farming is one of the most profitable businesses in the world. But unfortunately Poultry Farmers found it difficult lately in Nigeria. The price of both feed and chicks is rising in the market. In recent days Poultry sector provide solutions to many people ranging from: Unemployed graduate, Traders, Academicians, Labourers and the youth. But now things are gradually changing due to the lack Leadership and strong government that will tackle the issue of inflation in the sector. Although, the current government in it agenda promise to create opportunities through Agriculture but it failed Poultry Farmers woefully. Because as of now small Farmers are now quiting the sector while some lost their money completely without benefit. So majority of them became helpless and unemployed.

With this, I am urging the government to look at this sector that many people defend on, thereby making price of feeds more accessible in terms of price and availability of it in the market. Many people rely solely on Poultry farming, some small Farmers even got married with it.

So the need for government and the stakeholders to take a quick decision toward this Farmers. If not, many will lose their income and become jobless while those that got married will divorce their lovely wives all because of no means of survival.
