Aliko Dangote Announces Plan To Invest In Cameroon's Oil And Gas, Expand Cement Production

The Chairman of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote has announced his plan to diversify his investments in Cameroon, starting with energy production.

According to Premium Times, Dangote made this known on Wednesday after a meeting with the President of Cameroon, Paul Biya in Yaounde, the country's capital.

The Nigerian born billionaire, founder and Chairman of Dangote Group also disclosed that his company would increase the production of cement from its 1.5 million ton cement grinding facility launched more than six years ago in Cameroon.

" We have plans to expand our investment to other sector, begining with oil gas," said Dangote.

Aliko Dangote is the African's richest person, he is the founder and Chairman of Dangote Group, a conglomeration of multinational company.

The international businessman has contributed immensely to the economic and industrial development of Nigeria and the entire African continent. His company, Dangote Group is the leading producer of cement, sugar, salt, vegetables oil, other food items and currently investing in oil and gas in Nigeria and other African's nations.
