Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD) has initiated plans to assist farmers across the country with loan to mitigate the effects of COVID-19 pandemic that affected the Agric sector in the country.
The ministry in its special 'Agriculture for Food and Job Plan, (AFJP)' has recruited Npower (agro) volunteers to register all Nigerian farmers so that they can benefit from the loan scheme introduced by the federal government.
The farmers will be given basic inputs needed for farming activities like fertilizer, seeds, herbicides, insecticides, pesticides etc as a loan instead of cash.
Registration of farmers is still ongoing across the country, one can still be enrolled by one of the FMARDPACE enumerators in every Local Government in Nigeria and the registration is free of charge.
