Recall that a few days back, Miyetti Allah warned that it would prevent the supply of food materials from the North to South West until the alleged killings of Fulani are finally put to an end.
Further report days later revealed that the food items going to the South was thus diverted and moved to other places a move a lot of Nigerians publicly criticized.
However, it seems a lot is now happening as perishable goods are now rotten and left to waste. According to reports, prices of commodities are now very cheap due to the blockage.
According to a consumer who goes by the name Isamaila on Twitter, he noted that he bought over 20 onions for just N70 in Gombe.
He also disclosed that he was given free Tomatoes too. For him, the situation is getting scary because farmers are losing a lot of money.
He wrote "I bought these onions about an hour ago, they cost only N70 in Gombe state. I was given free tomatoes also. This is scary, farmers are losing money."
While reacting to the issue and statement from the man, Aisha Yesufu disclosed that the situation was been prolonged by hypocrites from the North who don't seem to think on a long-term basis.
She further stated that a lot of farmers and traders will lose from the ongoing crisis.
