NYSC Denies Express Advice For Corpers.
The management of the National Youth Service Corps has denied an express advice in the handbook issued to youth corps members.

The handbook is titled, Security Awareness and Education Handbook For Corps Members and Staff, on page 56, had advised corps members travelling on high-risk roads to alert their family members, friends and colleagues to have someone on hand to pay off the ransom that could be demanded” in case they are kidnapped.
However, the NYSC emphatically states that the clause quoted is not embedded in NYSC Security Tips pamphlet, which was allegedly put together by a highly respected retired security expert.

Lai Mohammed, minister of information and culture, says the federal government has a lot to show for all the loans it has taken.

Katsina Police Arrest Three Women Concealing Petrol In Bags For Bandits.
A team of policemen, operating along Katsina-Jibia road have arrested a mother, her daughter, alongside another woman, for concealing petrol in their bag to take to bandits in the forest.

The suspects, who confessed to have committed the offence in contravention of the executive order and other extant laws of the federation, are all said to be residents of the Malali Quarters, in Katsina metropolis.
The Spokesman, Katsina Police Command, SP. Isah Gambo paraded the three suspects at the state police headquarters on Thurday.
