Hypocrisy according to online Cambridge Dictionary is a situation in which someone pretends to believe something that they do not really believe, or that is the opposite of what they do or say at another time.
Though we believe the existence of this virus and the harm it has caused all over the world. But, one thing we don't really understand is, the real existence of this virus in our nation. When you talk about coronavirus in this part of the world, you will hear different kinds of mockery comments which leaves one wondering.
Despite the protocols put in place to fight the virus, what you will see in various places across the nation are buckets of water, hand sanitizer, tissue paper and a sign of no mask no entry into the premises. Are we really using these things? Is this virus really present in our nation? Even the social distance exercise is not really practised in our markets, banks, schools and even in our neighborhood. The only thing we pretend to use is our nose mask, which we don't even use to cover the nose but the mouth. Just to avoid fine from the enforcement team.
Impacts On The Prices Of Goods:
Constant increase in the prices of goods is the biggest harm of the whole coronavirus scheme. Traders blames the increase on the high cost of transportation while the drivers/transport owners blames the fact that the number of passengers they used to carry per trip is reduced thereby doubling the amount charged per head. Farmers blames the increase on herders/farmers issues and manufacturers blaming the increase on the price of raw materials used for production.
In conclusion, the constant increase in the prices of goods is one thing affecting many. Civil servants are complaining of both delay in the payment of salaries and the fact that the money can hardly solve much needs. In my opinion, if there is or no more coronavirus, let's stop all the pretends and concentrate on making things work again for us. Let's make this nation a better place.
