Nigeria is one of the countries in Africa that has the largest deposits of crude oil. The deposits of crude oil are largely found in the south-south geopolitical zone of the country. The country produce about 1.451 million barrels of crude oil per day in September 2021.
Nevertheless, there are other natural resources in Nigeria apart from oil and gas. The country also has significant deposits of lead, coal, tin, iron ore, limestone, bitumen, and zinc. Nigeria is the second in the world when it comes to bitumen.
