Yobe State is one of the States in Nigeria that depend on monthly Federal Allocation to meet its financial obligations, because of its low Internally Generated Revenue IGR. governor Mai Mala Buni has been working hard to improve the fortune of the State, at the beginning of his administration, he resuscitates some state's own companies such as Yobe Flour and Feed Mills and the state-owned aluminum factory to create jobs for the youths. Buni also introduced some reforms in the education sector to reposition Primary and Secondary education in the State.
However, The PUNCH reports "that governor Mai Mala Buni, has approved a minor cabinet reshuffle and announced the creation of a new Ministry of Wealth Creation, Empowerment and Employment Generation." This will help to improve the revenue base of the State and more jobs will be created. reshuffling cabinet will bring about administrative efficiency, therefore, governor Mai Mala Buni should be commended for taking a difficult but stoic decision. Commissioners and civil servants will be more committed to their jobs. Indeed, if the new Ministry is properly managed it will improve the revenue of the State and create employment for the youths.
