Dangote Group is a Nigerian multinational industrial conglomerate, founded by Aliko Dangote. It is the largest conglomerate in West Africa and one of the largest on the African Continent. The group has employed more than 30,000 people, generating revenues in excess of $4.1 billion dollars yearly.
The Dangote Group said its $2billion dollar granulated urea fertilizer plant located at Lekki, Lagos which was to begin operation before the end of December 2020, but failed due to Covid-19 and other issues, is set to begin operation on the 1st quarter of 2021.
Mr Dangote has said that the project would be the largest fertilizer plant in the world with its three million tines per annum capacity. The fertilizer plant is set to create over 250,000 job opportunities for Nigerians.
