Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala Listed Among Time's 100 Most Influential Leaders

Following the recognition of Nigeria's former minister Ngozi- Okonjo Iweala humanitarian impact, and philanthropic feat, she has been named by American News Magazine as one of the100 most influential people in the world.

Dr. Ngozi Okonjo- Iweala, who holds the position of Director- General of World Trade Organization (WTO) was named alongside renowned world leaders.

Counting from the top list was the United States President, Joe Biden, and Chinese President, Xi Jimping, on Time's 15th September publication.

Nevertheless, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has been reported as the only Nigerian named in the Time's magazine in 2021.

After the publication had released its list, Mrs Ngozi tweeted; "I feel honored, and privileged to be included on the cover picture of Time Magazine."

"And also to be given recognition as one of the world's most influential people.

"I' m really grateful to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for their kind words."

Prince Harry and Meghan had also joined in praising Mrs Ngozi Okonjo- Iweala for her role in campaigning for equitable vaccine across the world.
