The price of cement in Nigeria has been rising surprisingly since during Christmas last year 2020 which that cause an increase of poverty among poor family.
When the price of cement drops, many people will start building their house which that will Indubitably make the money go through people's hands but, when the pricd increase, everyone will stop buying the cement thinking that it may fall down in the near future.
Before, the bag of cement used to be sold as the rate of 2,800 to 3000 but now, is being sold as the rate of 4,000 in some places which that cause an increase of poverty among Nigerians.
There has been insinuation these days that the price of cement is more cheaper in other Countries than Nigeria. As the insinuation went viral, the CEO of Dangote group Revealed the actual price of cement in Nigeria.
According to Daily Nigerian, The management of Dangote Cement Plc has clarified that the price of a bag of cement from its factories and plants across Nigeria (as at 12th April, 2021) is N2,450 in Obajana and Gboko, and N2,510 in Ibese inclusive of VAT.
Few hour after Daily Nigerian broadcasted the actual price of cement, many Nigerians shared out their views and opinions concerning the rising of its price.
It is a high time Federal Government to put mouth over the cement price so as to reduce the rate of hardship in Nigeria.
