A bill was presented before the Senate on Thursday by seeking to stop employers in the private and public sectors from engaging employable Nigerian graduates as casual workers.
The bill, Titled: The Prohibition of Casualisation Bill 2020, was sponsored by Senator Ayo Akinyelure.
While presenting the bill, Senator Akinyelure said that Nigerian graduates continue to fall victim in the labour market and it is called for concern.
He also raise concern on how Nigerian workers keep falling victims of immoral strategies of cutting cost by their employer.
He said their employers continue to render the employees inferior compared to workers in other part of the world.
The Senator cited banking industry as an example accusing them for turning female marketers into prostitute and sexual slaves in order to meet up target set by the banks.
He accused banks for setting unrealistic target for their marketers which is the reason for their desperation to meet up the targets.
