How A 10-Storey Building Was Built In 28 Hours 45minutes.

The Modular 10-storey apartment block was erected by the Chinese Broad Group, Named the Living Building, it was located in Changsha, China.

The Broad Group released a time-lapse which shows that the 10-storey building was erected in China by three cranes and a large team of workers in about 28 hours 45minutes.

This building has the "world's shortest construction period" according to the company.

The tower was built from stainless steel modules. The blocks of the apartment were assembled from standard container-sized modular units that have a stainless structure, which was manufactured by the Broad Group.

The shaped container modules were stacked with one wall of each unit folding down to serves as a floor plate and a column-free space was created that is about 12 meters by 4.8-meters. Balconies and windows were folded out from the unit of the enclosed spaces.

The modules needed are transported to the site with all the electric and finishing of the internal were complete meaning installation can be performed rapidly.

One of the things about this building was that individual container-sized can be dismantled and moved if needed.
