As a proactive approach towards curbing or completely forestalling the incidences of cybercrimes, and to even protect telecoms infrastructure across the country, the Buhari administration has inaugurated a Centre for Computer Incidence Response in Abuja to handle such matters.
Commissioned on Thursday, October 7, 2021, by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, the Centre is dubbed as Nigeria's digital industry's specific intervention whose objectives are aligned to the National Cybersecurity Policy and Strategy, which was designed by the office of the National Security Adviser.
With Nigeria steadily making inroads into the reigning global Digital Economy, it is commendable that the Buhari administration is making all these efforts towards protecting the integrity of the country's cyberspace, which is exactly one of the major requirements needed to bolster the international community's confidence in investing in our nation.
2. 764 Mass Housing Units In Abuja Almost Ready.
In fulfilling its pledge of massive national infrastructural projects, which include developing mass housing estates across the country, the Buhari administration is currently building 764 housing units in Abuja, with the project even at its completion stage.
Located at the Zuba metropolis of the Federal Capital Territory, the houses are being built through the Federal Housing Authority (FHA), and will soon be allocated to subscribers since they are currently being completed.
As a mass housing scheme, this project is commendable as it is one of the best ways to help ease the residential needs of vulnerable Nigerians who can't afford the cost and rigors of building theirs at a given time. And the added value here is the large number of jobs and business opportunities the construction of the houses created, which makes great economic sense.
