Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. I welcome you all to this page, today we will be discussing about the current price of cement as shared by Dangote group of companies.
Cement is an essential commodity used in building Houses, shops and Warehouses.
Civil Engineers use it often for construction of roads.
Meanwhile, The price of cement partially determines the price of other commodities in the market.
Recently, The management of Dangote Cement Plc has clarified that the price of a bag of cement from its factories and plants across Nigeria (as at 12th April, 2021) is N2,450 in Obajana and Gboko, and N2,510 in Ibese inclusive of Value added tax (VAT).
Dangote’s Group Executive Director, Strategy, Portfolio Development & Capital Projects, Devakumar Edwin according to the statement revealed that, while a bag of Cement sells for an equivalent of $5.1, including VAT in Nigeria, it sells for $7.2 in Ghana and $5.95 in Zambia ex-factory, inclusive of all taxes.
Furthermore, I urge all builders to exercise Patience as the prices of cement will reduce in no distance time.
Good bless President Muhammadu Buhari for his efforts in making sure Nigerians are relieved from high price of commodities in the market.
