The NNPC makes important announcements about alleged recruitment.

Nigeria's federal government oversees and engages in the country's petroleum business through the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, or NNPC. Strategic Business and Corporate Services Units (SBUs/CSUs) in various locations around Nigeria oversee the NNPC's business operations. In that occasion, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) established a recruitment plan, which has continued to be a yearly scheme since since.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has stated that it is not recruiting and has advised the general public to avoid material circulating on social media claiming otherwise.

On Sunday, the corporation issued a statement in Abuja signed by its spokesman, Garba Deen Muhammad.

“This is to alert the public that the claim circulating on social media that the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) is running a recruitment exercise is completely false, and the public should disregard it.

“Whenever the NNPC decides to conduct a recruitment exercise, it will notify the public through legitimate public communication means, such as the NNPC website,” says the statement (www.nnpcgroup.com).

He stated, "Once again, the NNPC is not recruiting."
