Undertake self assessment and send feedback before 29th July 2020 - Nwajiuba to school owners

According to Honorable Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, Minister of State for Education on Friday, in Abuja, said the ministry after consulting widely, has agreed with the Federal Ministry of Health, Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Education in Emergencies Working Group, and also developed and circulated guidelines for the reopening of schools.
According to the Director of Information in the Ministry, Bem Goong, he said school owners are to agree with the guidelines.
He also noted that schools should undertake self-assessment and send feedback to the different State Ministries of Education before 29th July 2020.
Meetings with relevant stakeholders will be done to review the situation and decide on a date for safe reopening of schools.
The State Minister for Education also said they have met with WAEC on Monday and have agreed to further consult with four other countries on a new date for the examination.
This shows that schools in Nigeria will soon reopen and students in exit classes should start preparing to resume also.
