The Minister of Education Commission, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, announced that Nigerian Teachers will begin to enjoy the new salary structure that was promised by president Muhammadu Buhari from January 2022.
He further disclosed that other incentive privileges such as monthly allowance, housing, training and elongation of service retirement year from 35 years to 40 years which was promised by the president will kick off on January as well.
Chukwuemeka made the announcement in a conference meeting organized by the Ministry of Education which held in Abuja.
According to Premium Times, Chukwuemeka reportedly spoke out in the conference addressing the topic of teachers being owed overdue salaries for months in their respective States.
He referred to it as a criminal act which is exhibited by the people occupying the various salary disbursement roles in different part of the Country.
He added that with the new salary structure initiative, the issues of delaying Teachers salary will be completely fished out and eradicated.
The Minister assured all Nigerian Teachers that the new salary structure and incentive is already approved by president Muhammadu Buhari and ready for implementation.
