Very brilliant advice - Reactions As ASUU Advice FG Not to reopen schools till 2021

The Academic Staff Union of Universities said it also supports the decision taken by the federal government not to reopen Schools for students partaking in WAEC which was earlier scheduled to commence on August 4.
The union while using Kenya as an example advised the Government to shut down schools until 2021 to make sure adequate preparations.
As reported by Punch in an interview with the ASUU President, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, said no reasonable government would take such chances unless the parents of the students would be able to sign an undertaking.
While using Kenya as an example, he further said, Safety us first and if it means closing schools till next year, so be it in other to safeguard the lives of Nigerian children, and there health in general.
The ASUU President further said the union had not seen any evidence to show that schools were secured for students to go back as he said there were no need to carry out an experiment with the lives of the children.
