Why Only JS 3 and SS 2 Students Will Resume September 21 - Lagos State Government.
Lagos State Minister of Education has announced that only JS 3 and SS 3 students will resume on September 21, 2020.
This was made known to the public through a press statement released by the ministry on Sunday morning.
The statement said that the reason why only SS 2 and JS 3 students will resume first is to prepare the JS 3 students ahead of their final examination coming up soon and to prepare the SS 2 students for their transit to SS 3.
Another reason is to observe the behavior of the coronavirus pandemic before full resumption.
The ministry also said the date of the common entrance examination for primary six pupils will be communicated soon.
The statement said both public and private schools can resume on September 21. However, pre-primary school pupils are not allowed to resume in both public and private schools.
The Government also said Covid-19 guidelines laid down by the authority should be put in place when schools resume.
