Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi was born February 21, 1980, in Hadejia, Jigawa State, Nigeria. He received a bachelor of technology degree in computer science from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi. Kashifu also attended Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he was trained as MIT Sloan trained strategist. He also attended Leadership and Management courses at Harvard University, he also attended the University of Cambridge, UK, and IMD Business School in Switzerland.
During the cause of his career as information technology expert, Kashifu served for nine years at Galaxy Backbone, where he held various positions, which includes the following; network engineer, IP network field engineer, senior network & lead, IP operations team, senior solution architect among others. Mr Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi joined Central Bank of Nigeria in 2014 as a technology architect. He was among the team that executed software license rationalization that has increased cost savings for the bank on license annual subscription.
Mr Kashifu was the first Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) in Nigeria's public sector, he is also a certified project manager and solution architect. In 2017, he joined NITDA as Technical Assistant to the Director General/CEO, Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami. He is a member of both Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) and the British Computer Society (BCS). Mr Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi was appointed as Director General/CEO of National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) in August 2019.
