Breaking News: Finally, FG Reopens Unity Schools Across The Country.

At last, the Federal Government of Nigeria has announced that all Unity Schools in Nigeria can now resume starting from Monday, 12th October, 2020.

According to the Federal Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, he stated during the press conference in Abuja that the coast is now clear.

In furtherance, he said schools in all the thirty six (36) states and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in the country.

They are now mandated to announce resumption dates and ensure adequate precautionary and safety measures are put in place as directed by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

The Federal Minister, Professor Adamu Adamu warned that any schools who default the outlined COVID-19 safety guidelines and protocols, will be shut down if there is any outbreak from such learning institutions.

In addition, Mallam Adamu Adamu disclosed that, the ministry had consulted widely with all stakeholders in the education sector.

Therefore, no single case of COVID-19 in all Unity Schools as well as no record of fatality among the students.
