The Nigerian Government has asked all Unity Schools across the country to fully resume after the long Covid 19 break.
Unity schools and several other educational institutions have been under "Lock and Key" for over a period of about six months.This is part of the government strategies of curtailing Corona Virus.
12th October has been announced the be the resumption date, this was announced by by the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, during in press briefing on Friday 2nd October 2020 at Abuja according to Bashir Ahmed.
He advised all educational institutions to strictly adhere to guidelines of reopening of schools as earlier announced by the Presidential Task Force(PTF).
"The decision was reached after an exhaustive discussion with education stakeholders in the public and private sector as well as the international partners. All State and Private schools are to work out their modalities to resume. All Unity schools are to reopen by 12 October 2020. I'm glad to report that there has not been a single case of COVID 19 in all Unity Schools. No single fatality among the students he said", He said.
