Some Children try as much as possible to excel in their academics, but things don't work out as they want.
Therefore, parents needs to assist them by teaching them some basic principles to academic success. These principles include:
1. KEEP BELIEVING IN YOURSELF
You've got to believe that you can achieve success in any field you have determined to pursue. This is because what you believe is what you get.
Don't think you are incapable of getting good grades. Every student is highly capable to do and become what they desire, only if they can believe and diligently pursue what they believe.
2. SHOW UP IN CLASS
Several students usually skip classes and later wonder why they are performing poorly in test and exams.
Reasonable percentage of academic success is about showing up in class always. If you show up in class when due, good things happen. You will surely be there for that surprise test or attendance. You will be there when the lecturer suggest how to prepare for the upcoming test.
3. PASSIONATELY CARRYOUT ASSIGNMENTS AND PROJECTS
Endeavor to specially carryout your given assignment and works. Assignments are usually a way of preparing you for test and exams.
4. GET ON YOUR LECTURER'S GOOD SIDE
You need to understand that teachers and lecturers are just like you and me. Be humble and nice to them. Be humble enough to regard and say hello to them when you come across them. Be friendly and show respect to them. Don't get paranoid, thinking that your lecturer doesn't like you. Endeavour by all means (with the help of God) to get the best from them.
5. GATHER YOUR RESOURCES
When it comes to school and getting good grades, it's essentially important that you gather your resources through getting others involved to help you. Others that can be of help to you in achieving the goal of academic excellence are your lecturers, friends, etc.
Endeavor to find someone who believes in you and cares about you. Locate them and move with them. Remember, you achieving meaningful success may not be done alone. You need people who understand where you are going and are ready to selflessly support you.
6. DEVELOP SMART STUDY HABITS
Developing effective study habits is a must. Not just study habits, but "smart study habits". Being Smart as a student, I mean you must be:
- Realistic and
7. LEAN OF GOD COMPLETELY
Commit your life, vision, goals and plans to God. Remember, you cannot do it alone. When He helps and supports you, you can go even farther than your expectations and imagination.
The amount of help you receive from God determines how far you can go in life.
Report your hard and difficult lecturers to Him. He knows how to handle them on your behalf, only if you will submit to Him so that He can journey with you.
The benefits of your academic excellence is not only for today but also has a lot of benefits for your future when you will need to build your career through the job you do.
PLEASE KEEP ON SHARING TILL OTHER LIVES ARE IMPACTED.
