Things have started looking promising regarding the matter of School reopening Nationwide in Nigeria. This was born of the new directive announced by the Federal Government of Nigeria through its Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba, on Friday, July 17, 2020; in Abuja.
The Minister said the Federal Government is now giving school owners till July 29 to meet specific guidelines towards a safe reopening of Schools.
School Owners are expected to prepare and comply with this guidelines in the space of 12 days (from now till July 29) given to them.
Schools are required to undertake self-assessment of their readiness towards a safe resumption and send feedbacks to the various ministry of education in their State.
Mr Nwajiuba also said that plans were already underway with other Four Countries to set a new possible date for WAEC examinations.
The Minister also said a date will be announced by the Federal government once all the safety guidelines have been in place.
