The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has decided on the issue of admission exemption for candidates who are under special consideration for admission by their Institutions of choice.
We will recall that that the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) had revealed some categories of candidates who will not write post utme before they will be offered admission to their choice of institutions.
The board, through its registrar, professor Isiaq Oloyede had maintained that candidates who fall in these three categories (Foreign candidates, physically disabled candidates and prisoner candidates) shall not write the screening test of their choice of institutions before they will be offered admission. He maintained that they will be offered admission based on minimum requirements. The board maintained that this is as a result of inconvenience as complained by the group. The board also maintained that any candidate that doesn't fall under one of these categories shall not be allowed to take undue advantage of it.

In relation to this article, those set of candidates mentioned by the board are under special consideration or waiver for admission into their choice of institutions.
Special consideration or waiver simply means a flexible admission exercise which requires only minimum requirements from candidates to be admitted to their choice of institutions. This exemption mode only favoured some candidates under it. The aforementioned Candidates who are specified by the board are typical example.
In this respect, the board had decide on its 2020 admission guidelines that all Institutions must have completed 90% of its admission exercise for the year before requesting special consideration for the use of exemption mode in admitting candidates.

decision from JAMB 2020 admission guidelines PDF format.
In lieu of this, candidates who are under special consideration for admission in their various choice of Institutions should be patient because they will probably be the last batch of candidates to be considered for admission.
Candidates who had written their screening exercise should check their dashboard on their CAPS for provisional admission offer.
Candidates who are yet to write their post UTME screening should prepare in advance for their forthcoming aptitude test. "To fail to prepare is to prepare to fail". I wish all candidates the very best of luck.
