Reopening Of Schools-Here Is The Latest News Concerning The Resumption Of Schools By FG

The federal government has set a deadline for the resumption of schools to all proprietors. It was reported recently that before July 29,schools must meet certain and specific set of guidelines before resumption can be granted. 

 This was announced by the States Minister of Education on Friday, after which the federal government had made agreement with four other west African states. This is such a good news as the SSS3 students might resume, thus leading to the resumption of tertiary institutions and others in a matter of days.

 The minister of education, after meeting the Nigerian centre for disease control and federal ministry of health has finally come up with a new guideline. 

 The director of information made his own statement concerning resumption, "Ben Goong as that is his name said:

 "School owners are to prepare and comply with the guidelines"

 The minister stated that schools that aren't ready to follow the exact guidelines listed by the NCDC should not resume. The minister of state for education "Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba in his statement on Friday said:

 "Since Tuesday last week, we have consulted widely with stakeholders in the sector, including commissioners of education in all states of the federation, the Association of private schools of Nigeria(APSON), National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools(NAPPS), Provosts of college of education, rectors of polytechnics, Vice chancellors of universities and some other development partners". 

 He advised parents to be rest assured that they are safe, and WAEC would start if schools will properly follow their guidelines. 

 The guidelines has been approved by the Nigeria president "Mohammadu Buhari".
