The final year students of the Department of Geography made the day remarkable as they played music in a vehicle and danced as they passed through the gate of the school.
The students were supposed to have graduated about two months ago when suddenly a breach of security occurred that led to the school being shut down.
They took placards that indicated their department and also depicted the love of themselves.
Nelson, one of the graduates, acknowledged that it was the greatest challenge he has ever encountered. He has to put everything to work and also to be independent. The environment, accepting new people as his family and also making decisions that went well and sometimes did not.
The young geologist is happy that it has finally ended in joy. Though, there were times when the days had their share of storms, coupled with the pandemic and strike which narrowed his hope.
Finally, he and his colleagues have bagged a Bachelor’s degree in geology despite the delay in 2020 that made them graduate in 2021.
The journey that looked like it would not end has been capped gracefully.
Congratulations to these new geologists!
