2018 FGC Teachers Received Re-Assurance Of Payment From Federal Government

Following the increasing grievances, and petitions by retired government teachers, the Federal Government has taken steps in re-assuring teachers employed into Federal Government Colleges, during/after 2018 dispensation, that they will be enlisted into the Integrated Personal, and Payroll Information System.(IPPIS).

According to a statement disclosed by Mr. Sonny Echomo, the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education, "he said that due to some irregularities in the employment exercise of some of the teachers, there arose a series of challenges for the Ministry, as well as the Head of Service, and the Civil Service Commission.

He also gave the assurance while responding to questions, pertaining to the non- payment of salaries of teachers recruited into the scheme by the Federal Ministry of Education.

"It is rather an unfortunate incident that keeps us awake, because, it appears like a comedy of errors, but, the reality is that there was a cause for it.
