As Nigerians are making the country proud across the world, a Nigerian lady, Professor Rita Orji who is a Nigerian-Canadian Computer science Professor has been shortlisted for the top 25 Canadian immigrant awards.
Professor Rita disclosed the information on her official Twitter handle, @ritapurity and she said "I'm on the shortlist for the top 25 Canadian immigrant awards 2021".
She further said that the Canadian magazine online voting has commenced already.
The Internationally recognized computer science expert is from the Enugu State of Nigeria and is based in Canada where she is a Canada Research Chair in Persuasive Technology and Associate Professor at the Faculty of Computer Science, Dalhousie University.
The young lady is the first Nigerian woman to Chair Canadian Persuasive Research and due to her academic excellence, she was made a member of the Royal Society of Canada.
Rita Orji graduated with PhD in Computer Science from Saskatchewan as a Vanier Scholar before her exalted position.
Her area of concentration in research includes Human-computer interaction, Persuasive Technology, Games for change and Digital health.
