See Secondary School in Osun State Where School Fees and Accommodation is Free

In a time when the present day Government is depriving us of the free education they enjoyed, the Orangun of Oke-Ila, Oba Dokun Abolarin is giving the poor people of Ila an opportunity to enjoy such irrespective of your background and religion.

Abolarin College is located in Oke-Ila, Osun State, Nigeria. The school is established to support poor and brilliant students of Oke-Ila community. Reports gathered from the school indicated that the school fees, accommodation, feeding, and uniform are all free. Further discovery indicates that social amenities and infrastructures needed for proper learning are all also present for free.

A look into the lifestyle of King Dokun Abolarin portrays him as a King who values education. He possesses a first degree and Master's degree in Law. He's married to just one wife and uses the money most traditional rulers use in marrying wives and accumulating properties to to invest in the education of indegenous students who he sees as future leaders.

It was also gathered that the only criteria to get admitted is being poor and brilliant. The admission process is free of nepotism, tribalism and religious favouritism. It's indeed a noble act from a monarch in such community as Oke-Ila.

I have chosen to write about this so we can all preach to the rich in our society that we can't leave it all to the Government and we have to help brilliant students fulfil their dream.

Don't forget to share this article and play your part in achieving something like this in your community.
