Meet Professor Charles Egbu, A Nigerian Professor Newly Appointed As VC in a UK University

Charles Egbu, A Nigerian Professor has been named Vice-Chancellor of Leeds Trinity University.

As indicated by an announcement on the UK Varsity site, he will take over from Margaret House, who will step down following seven years.

Mr Egbu will come back to Leeds, a city wherein he examined and instructed, to start his new job on November 1, 2020.

Responding to his arrangement, Mr Egbu was cited as saying: I am respected to be joining Leeds Trinity; a University who's qualities and ethos around augmenting cooperation, offering a customized approach and urging all understudies to accomplish their best, line up with my own. The University has an amazing reputation in getting the hang of, instructing and employability, and I am anticipating expanding on the solid establishments set up under the initiative of Professor House.

"I have just been intrigued by the feeling of network at Leeds Trinity and I am anticipating drawing in with understudies, partners and graduated class as we shape the future methodology of the establishment. I am additionally anticipating coming back to Leeds; the city in which I spent quite a bit of my initial scholarly life."

With over 25 years' involvement with advanced education, he was already Pro Vice- Chancellor for Education and Experience at the University of East London.
