ASUU :Don't Open Schools Until 2021

According to the Academic Staff Union of Universities (Asuu), it is fully behind the decision of the federal government on there decision to lock down schools at all level, this decision will prevent secondary school pupils from partaking in the Senior Certificate Examination schedule for August 4th.

The Union also advised the federal government to shut down until 2021 just like the Kenyan government did. Recall that Kenyan government has locked down her schools at all level after this unfortunate pandemic. The statement not to open schools was issued by the president of the Union Prof Biodun Ogunyem, the president also added that schools has also not done enough to show there preparedness to welcome the students back to there environments.

The federal government on another news has given school authorities 2 weeks to full put in place various protective mechanisms for possible resumption in August, the order was issued by the Minister of state for education on Tuesday.
