3 Things I Wish I Knew Before Graduating From The University

Reflecting back on my experiences in the university, there are some very few things I wished I knew them before my graduation.

After graduation the reality of life began to dawn on me, infact I began to see the world so differently from back then when I was in school.

But it is all a great experience, and really life has taught me alot more than I could have ever imagined to Learn.

But for you, I have compiled a list of three (3) things I wish I knew before leaving the university, go through the list below and tell me what you think in the comments section below.

1. I wish I knew that going to the university is not the same as getting a job after graduation.

Despite spending years in the university, that doesn't necessarily mean that I will get a job or work as quickly as possible after graduation, infact currently, most of my course mates in the university did not have any job at all after graduation.

2. That I must serve another one extra year, for a compulsory national youth service (NYSc)

National youth service is a one year compulsory program for all fresh university graduates to work or serve in different parts of the country, as a means of promoting social intergration.

But I never knew that it is not as easy as it seems, alot of activities takes place during the nysc camp.

3. I wish I knew that skills are more important than results

Skills are the professional tools which we can rely on.

Without skills we won't find it easy to deal with some minor challenges in life.
