The Executive Chairman of Afikpo North Local Government Area, Hon Barr Oby Oko Enyim has extended her warmest felicitation to Professor Nnenna Oti on her emergence as the first female Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO).
Barr. Oby who described Professor Oti as an astute Educational Icon who has outstanding credentials noted that her emergence as the first woman to occupy such enviable position in FUTO after 41 years is a historic development that will open up a new chapter for effective women participation in Nation - building.
She recalled how Professor Nnenna Oti dazzled the world with her superlative performance during the National Conference of 2014 and expressed Confidence that she would bring her wealth of experience to bear in lifting the fortunes of the Citadel of Learning.
Barr. Oby wished her well in her new journey and implored her to continue to raise the standards of the Ivory Tower, so that in the final analysis, the University under her watch shall continue to produce individuals found worthy in Character and in Learning.
Married to Architect Nnanna Oti, Prof. Nnenna Oti, Professor of Soil Science and Environmental Conservation hails from Mgbom in Itim Autonomous Community of Afikpo North Local Government Area, Ebonyi State.
