2020 seems like another year to seek greener pastures, lay hold of something useful, advance in every endeavour, a year to fulfill all your hopes and desires. Not until the pandemic came and turned everything upside down, businesses were shutdown, many lives lost, schools closed and so on.
Students of Tertiary institutions within the country have taken to twitter using the #SAVENIGERIANSTUDENTS to request the reopening of schools, as schools within the country have been closed for over 3 months.
The students are of the opinion that schools should be reopened since the Markets have been reopened, Churches have been reopened with specific measures and Political Campaign are taking place, with Elections looking likely to take place. They feel Nothing should stop Schools too from reopening.
On twitter ifeoluwa akindumila tweeted as follows : If Market can reopen, Churches can reopen, Political Campaign can take place, and Election can take place.
Nothing should stop our School to reopen.
Another user Musbahu Muhammad Tukur also tweeted: "Markets, watching centers have much more crowd than schools, why only schools??? #SAVENIGERIANSTUDENTS "
