See What The Government Said Concerning Reopening Of School As At July 17

As at 17th of July 2020 in Abuja, Fred Ezeh said that the educational system has been reviewed and school will reopen in September, this was confirmed to Daily Sun on Friday by senior personnel of the Federal Ministry of Education.

He said that this will be implemented as soon as they are sure that the school system is in a position to avoid and stop the spread of the pandemic.

The Official Personnel also informed the Daily Sun that the West Africa Examination Council has been persuading the government to reopen schools so that they would allow the final students to sit for their examination. This was so because the government have decided that the students who want to sit for the exam will not be able to do so in order to avoid the students been contaminated with the virus. Although the Official said that the Minister of State for Education Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba has met with WAEC Official on Monday to consult the other four countries for a new date of the examination.

The Director of Press, Federal Ministry of Education, Ben Bem Goong in his word on Friday said that the Federal Government has given schools up to the 29th of July to meet for specific guidelines toward the safety of reopening of school.
