Data obtained from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and National Commission for Colleges of Efucation (NCCE) respectively show that Ogun State Government has five polytechnics and one college of education. Interestingly, all these institutions have commenced the process of admitting students for the 2021/22 academic session by announcing their UTME cut off marks. Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta is one of the first set of polytechnics that announced cut off marks for this admission season. This institution was founded as Ogun State Polytechnic in 1979 but was named Moshood Abiola twenty years later. The cut off mark for admission into any of its twenty six departments in the 2021/22 academic session as announced on its website is 100.
Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH), Igbesa has begun to accept applications from 2021 UTME candidates. Any candidate that meets the minimum score announced by JAMB is qualified for admission into any of the five faculties of this institute.
Gateway ICT Polytechnic, Saapade is one of the polytechnics founded in 2006 under the administration of Otunba Gbenga Daniels. The cut off mark for the 2021 admission advertised on its website is 100.
Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic Ijebu Igbo os one of the oldest institutions in the state. There are currently about ten National Diploma programs in the school. The cut off mark advertised for the next session is 120.
DS Adegbenro ICT Polytechnic is fifth polytechnic owned by the state government. It has announced a cut of mark of 120 on its website.
Tai Solarin College of Education (TASCE) was established as Ogun State College of Education, Ijebu Ode. The college was renamed in 1994 to immortalize Dr Tai Solarin, a foremost educator from.the state. When the institution was converted to a university of education, TASCE was relocated to Omu Ijebu. The institution currently runs NCE programs and OOU-affiliated degree programs. For the 2021 admission season, the college has advertised cut of marks of 100 for its NCE program.
