The start of the second semester examinations on campus was also approved by the varsity's officials.
This was stated in a press statement sent out to students on Tuesday night.
The reopening comes six weeks after the hostels were closed and physical classes were suspended to avoid the spread of COVID-19 on campus.
“On Senate's authority, the University offers this timetable to accommodate lawful inhabitants in the hostels for the In-Person 2nd semester 2019 2020 examinations,” it stated.
“Eligible Students are expected to follow the schedule and requirements for admission to the Halls of Residence to the letter.
“(They) must be registered for the second semester 2019-2020 session, present a coloured Exam Docket for the second semester 2019-2020 Exams, present a bottle of hand sanitizer (minimum of 500ml), present at least 10 face masks, wear face masks into and out of the hostels at all times, and use their assigned bed spaces.
